I was wandering around the internet and stumbled across a few more paper models from Japan. I put the links in the seven posts above this one. There are still a few paper models from Japan that remain undiscovered.

Paper Cutting Patterns/Kirigami

This is a Vietnamese site, but it is about KIRIGAMI, a Japanese craft, that has become very popular in Vietnam in the past few years (Actually, Kirigami probably was first developed in China which has its own style of paper cutting craft).
In kirigami papers are cut and assembled to create silhouettes of objects and scenes.
If you do not want to make your own kirigami, there are sites where you can order hand cut or laser cut Vietnamese kirigami cards and pop ups.

There are lots of patterns to chose from here:
https://lovekirigami.com/
You just need a pattern, some long fiber paper and a very sharp knife or iris scissors to get started making a kirigami.

Other kirigami sites

(There is also a new generation of very skilled origami masters originating from Vietnam.)

Uminoko Learning vessel

This is paper model of Uminoko, a Lake Biwa learning vessel.
It seems to be floating science summer camp for medium size Japanese children.
The page with the links to the download and the actual downloading pages are below. The images are BMP and the download is tricky, you need Google translate, and some puzzle solving to figure out how to click through the pages and download them.

There are other paper models discussed in the blog, but I have not been able to find any donwload links, maybe one of you will have better luck, if so please share the links.
