In the early 2000's Canon released several Camera paper models, which led to a brief camera paper model war between the major Japanese camera manufacturers as each rushed to post paper models of their own products in order to catch up with Canon. Unfortunately, most of these very detailed paper models did not stay posted on the internet very long, as they were taken down when they were superseded by new models.

A link to a paper model of a German Leica Camera can be found on the Paper-Replica.com web site.

I apologize for all the blank space that appears on my posts, I make my posts with no wide spaces between lines, but the web site increases the spaces after I punch the "save" button.

I still get lots of compliments on that one

Thank you for a job so well done, for such a long time, so that the rest of us can benefit and enjoy these pages that normally would not be available. Well done.
Thank you
Owen

Thank you for the thank you posts.
Looking for Japanese paper models is sort of like mushroom hunting. At first they are hard to find and it takes a lot of random wandering around the internet before stumbling across a new paper model or two.
However, once I find one there are usually a lot more nearby. Either the newly discovered site will have links to other paper models, or I can cut words from the web site and paste them into a search engine and that leads to more paper models.
To find that first elusive new paper model, I think of phrases that might appear on a paper model site, machine translate them into Japanese, and plug them into a search engine and keep looking until I find a previously unknown paper model.
The only written Japanese I know are the kana for paper model and download.

Japanese Houses / No paper models

“–{“`“•‰ “•‰‘‚‚‰y‚‚‚‚H–“Xz
A contractor's web site, they build new houses in traditional and modern stale and restore old houses or recycle their materials.
There are pictures and floor plans of houses, and a page on joinery techniques.
A good starting point for someone who wants to scratch build a model of Japanese house.
I am still looking for a copy of old (19th century) plans of tea houses that can be folded into a 3D representation of the tea house
(Edo Period 3D paper tea house plans)
But while I occasionally find pictures of them, either flattened or unfolded to show the 3d structure, nothing that can be printed and built has turned up.
The only flat uncut traditional tea house plan I have stumbled across is a tiny thumb nail.

I did some more looking, did not find any building plans to download but did find a set you can buy for only $12,500.

A Web site with a lot of interesting information and models to look at:
https://shipmodeler.wordpress.com/

Traditional Japanese Boats:
Search this web site for models of Japanese boats made from cypress a minimally processed paper-like material, and visit related site
https://wasenmodeler.wordpress.com/
Also

------------------------------------------------------------------------
And since there were no paper models to download on any of the above sites, here are a couple of very simple paper model cars, from Japan:

An archive of Japanese paper model sites, with many dead links and a couple of good ones:

Here is one of the listed URLs that still has a couple of live links to simple car paper models:

Lastly, a blueprint of a Honda Spike, maybe someone could turn it into a paper model

And a reminder of the Honda N1 kei car paper model:

A review of the Honda N1, it could only appear in the US as a grey market car:
