That Robert Mikesh is a man after my own heart. I'd love to see the entire collection of B-17s he built!

I imagine the photo documentation would be fairly mundane - but oh man what hours I could enjoy in that slideshow.

It seems that the models ar plastic or wood, not paper. I can't get to the next page, so I may be missing the interesting part.

I have the book that shows most of the collection and the models are multimedia builds. Some paper on some of them but I don't recall any ALL paper models, unless you consider wood to be a form of paper;-)

Still, an amazing collection.

There's some really good models, paper or not. If you keep going a few pages, you'll see my favorite, a uss enterprise with full aircraft including a ta4, many a6s and a ton of f14s amongst others

Yeah, the article mentioned that some of them are made of paper and present some interesting preservation challenges, so I thought it would be relevant to pass it along to this group. The 1/10 scale Johnson Monoplane is worth clicking on for sure for lovers of pioneer era aviation and rigging wires!
