A Christmas present from Sweden

Not a Santa, but still a very nice present from Sweden can be found at Bildrum.
If you explore the site, you will find other paper models to admire, buy or download, and as a special treat, if you find the secret door, you can go into the room with Santa Claus and all of his inventions from years past.

If you do not know the Bildrum URL, use an internet search engine to show the way.

(And here is information about the sailing ship Isolda
S/V Isolda, Göteborg
and here is the model

The Isolda is a model that comes up every so often on the site (I think it depends on whether it is hosted elsewhere), but I think the actual Holiday gift is the Venetian Vaporetto, Il Vaporetto di Venezia

corrected url

This is the correct URL for the Isolda download.
http://isolda.info/Papermodel/Three_...ner_ISOLDA.zip
In my first post of this thread, I bracketed the URL of the Isolda model in parenthesis, and this site's software included the final ")" in the clickable address.
Use the address above, or click on the address in my first post, then delete the final ")" and click again to get the download.
I apologize for the inconvenience, and for not checking my post more carefully. This is just another reminder that software is very literal minded and always does what you tell it to do, not what you want it to do.

I want to express my thanks to Gunnar for maintaining his internet pages about paper modeling, and for all of models he has created and made available to the modeling community.

Gunnar's Isolda is one of the best free sailing ship models available on the internet. He created it for the group that maintains and operates this historical sailing ship. In the past URL was changed, was not maintained for awhile, and now is now hard to find, so I wanted to re-post it.
The Vapporetto looks like another beautifully done model from Gunnar Sillen, and another addition to my must build list.

Vaporetto Passenger Ferry from Venice

Great find, John!

Yes, Gunnar Sillén's models are indeed very fine designs, many of which are free downloads: BILDRUMS KLIPPARK PAPER CUT OUT MODELS

The Vaporetto (a free waterline model for this Christmas and the new year) is a must! I went to the Venice Art Biennale a couple of years ago, and we went back and forth from our hotel in the south part of Venice with the Vaporetto passenger ferries many times a day. It's a great wonder to behold, by the way, with which ease and precision the skippers manouver these small boats to and from the stops. Very smooth, no bumps.

Tack, Gunnar, för ännu en mycket fin båtmodell!
