newby here. Help...This is my first attempt at paper modeling and I am having a little trouble figuring how to attach the tower top to the tower.

I think you are referring to the walkway. The rectangular tabs glue to the green dots on the tower. Valley fold the Top Liner and glue inside the Tower Top.
