I really like the style of these posters, reminiscent of 1930s and 40s British rail and sea travel posters.
I expect to see some of these as backdrops to models at the International Paper Modelers' Convention in Sterling, Virginia, USA, in October. International Paper Modelers Convention Awards Rules Nice find. Don |

I am strongly considering getting these printed out.
Anybody have good ideas as to how to do so cheaply? |

Some very interesting posters. Would be great to get some printed out at full size and high resolution.

My daughter Keira recently got a poster made at Walgreens for her fifth grade science fair project... She got a photo of the surface of Mars from the JPL website and had them print it out for her poster size-- pretty reasonably too from what I gather...
BTW, her project was "crash landing on Mars" and was based on "which shape of a vehicle will survive a hard/crash landing on Mars the best, with the least damage". To that end she made a 9x13 "Mars simulant" surface using sand and gravel, and then dropped various shapes of "vehicles" made from identical numbers of Lego bricks into this simulant to determine how they would handle the "crash". Damage assessments were made by counting how many Lego's flew off the various shaped "vehicles". She then repeated the test dropping onto the kitchen floor for purposes of comparison. She took first place... You can see the poster in the pic... Later! OL J R

Well done to her, looks like a great project - I bet she had great fun doing the tests!
These are great, humorous posters, thanks for posting Zot. Julian |

So don't keep us in suspense, which shape survived a crash the best?
