Luftwaffe WW2 helicopter builds

There are a couple of builds of Luftwaffe WW2 helicopters in the Unofficial Airfix Modellers Forum Large Scale Planes group build if anyone would like to have a look...

Marek FA-223 Drache The Unofficial Airfix Modellers' Forum

GPM FL-282 Kolibri The Unofficial Airfix Modellers' Forum

The build runs for three months so it is likely some other paper models may appear later...

Hi everyone

I'm Splash and quite new to card craft, Simon who started this thread got me trying card models over on the UAMF.ORG.Uk forum. With only a couple of card models under my belt I thought I might try something more ambitious and thought I would have a go at the Marek Focke-Achgelis Fa.223 Drache.

My first impressions were "What no written instructions!" But looking at the part layout and small drawings I think it's more for an experienced builder rather than a fairly inexperienced person like me. But my logic is you only know your limits once you have exceeded them.

Looking at complex cockpit cage I thought I would cheat and use wood, this has caused me a couple of issues but worked out OK in the end.

My main build thread will be over on the other forum but I will keep adding update photos on here

Wood is acceptable as a building material. It is, after all, "pre" paper!

You are doing a most excellent build.

Thanks for sharing

Should this build not be moved to WIP?
