Trying to buy a model from Russia

Has anyone bought a model from this site?

Развертки* бумажных* моделей

I guess the models are printed and not downloadable. I emailed the author and he apparently doesn't speak English and my Russian is pretty useless. I think he requests that the money be sent by bank transfer. If anyone has bought from him, can you tell me the process you used? I would really like to get his model of the Delta III SSBN, the first model on the list in this page ( Атомный подводный крейсер проекта 667БРД).

If you click the link you'll be prompted to download the model. A couple of the sheets are "masked" with the instructions for how to buy the model. Any help would be appreciated.

I have had some luck in similar language situations using Google Translate to get a message across...trick is to use very short simple sentences, no slang or jargon, and under no circumstances try to crack any funnies because they just do not translate across...

I got the impression that this page is his way of trying to sell models to publishers. Google translation:

I've checked the link and I agree with Leif; and I'm not sure that I would invest a nickle ...

With lovely greetings
the Wilfried

Well, if you download the model and look at the pages with the instructions to buy, it seems to say that you should send 40 rubles to - what? a bank account? Yandex money, whatever that is. Anyway, it seems that the price of the model is 40 rubles - not much. Doesn't seem to give bulk pricing. It does look like a big challenge to get one though, unless maybe you're in Russia. Where else are you going to find a model of a Delta III SSBN? I would also like to buy his Alfa SSN.

I wouldn't waste my time on it Barx. My Russian is a bit rusty, but from what I can gather, this guy is selling downloads of scanned models.

I have the delta model on my to build pile. It used to be a free model, and if you go the Le Forum en Papier • Afficher le sujet - Projet 667 forum you can see a build report by dragos.
If you really want the model, you can use the Internet Archive: Wayback Machine, to grab the free version

Thanks. I had heard there was a free version that was published in the magazine Junior Technician, or something like that. I guess that is it.

It's taken me the better part of a full day to get the files for the Delta - the server on the other end seems a bit dodgy as the download kept stopping 'server not found' but in the end there are 5 jpg files, 4 of parts and a set of instructions. I can't comment on the accuracy but it looks OK apart from the dayglo red used for the hull. Scale near as I can figure in 1/300...

I grabbed it, too. I may try Lala's method for recoloring the red. Also, the edges around the missile hatches are too bright and prominent, but I'm not sure I could modify those. In fact, none of the colors are really accurate - and this coming from someone who is colorblind.
