Wow, this is an interesting resource! Never expected I'd be able to model the Battle of Manila Bay, which preceded the handover of the Philippines from Spain to the USA.
Other than the USS Monterey I've only found the Isla de Cuba and Isla de Luzon, and of course I would need the USS Olympia - many years since I visited her in Philadelphia. Anybody know of other models of veterans of the Philippine campaign? |

For those who find these models a bit naive, note that they can be improved with little effort.
I`ve been working myself with the Jiyuan (a German Vulkan shipyards cruiser built for the Chinese Beiyang Navy) and, pendiding the addition of the finishing details, the result is most realistic: |
