Interesting ! I likes a lot playing this game but with airplanes not tanks. If I had time I really would like to build it.
Thank you for the info !

I might have a shot if the deadline was extended to 7/10/18, LOL. The designer, Vadim Tarasov, just turned 15 about a month ago. He's one of my VK "friends". He's very fluent in English, too. English language is a mandatory course of study in many Russian schools.

I haven't played WT in such a long time, but I love it.
And who couldn't use some free stuff.
But the WT Panzer is not a simple one-page model,
and with only a couple of weeks to get it done, I just don't think I can do it.

Which is too bad because I looked through some of the already posted entries....
and nobody appears to be following the rules?!
I see scratchbuilt and other models...not the WT Panzer that you are supposed to build.
And the rules clearly state, no modifications to the model.
Its all about build quality and presentation in the photos. (no shopping though).

oh well...if you have the time to get'r done, then you might stand a chance.

I couldn't let this pass...I read the contest rules/guidelines...I looked at the entries...and...

with more prizes than entries, and entries that don't appear to follow the rules,
I figured I had a good shot to win something.

Unfortunately time was a factor, and I didn't think I had enough of it.
But I persevered and got the model finished last night.

Now, I just have to figure out my final "entry photographs".
The rules call for something interesting, not just a model on display.

Dioramas are acceptable, but apparently will not influence the judging.

Build quality is important, as is sticking to the original design...
but how to make the photo stand out?

I'll shoot a few photos today in the back garden and see if anything looks good.
I took some pics of my Centurion model near a rock feature and it looked good.
Maybe the Tiger will work too.

Any suggestions on a fun or interesting photo?
Or something I could add into a photo? (no photoshopping though)

Dave, you did a great build. Nice looking tank. I think the photos that you have taken look really good.

Sorry, but I don't have any suggestions to make the photos stand out.

Thanks Gary.
The issue is the judging guidelines.
Its been made clear that quality of build is a factor,
and sticking to the original design (no modding) is expected.
But its all about the final contest photos...
I think they are looking for originality and interesting photo presentation.
Not just dioramas either...
and they definitely don't want static model display photos.

And, photo-editing is not allowed.

At first I tried shooting with a printed background (the pics above)
but I couldn't get the scale right.

So, I'm going to try some photos outdoors for some natural light.
I like how models look on the concrete patio.
Maybe add a figure or something?

...I actually have an idea now.

...and its super.

How about taking a really long shot of this in front and your Centurian way in the background on some sort of natural setting.

actually an idea I had a couple of days ago.
I thought that if the Panzer was close enough, the scale difference might be hidden.

But then I thought having to deal with the Centurion...maybe take it outside.
Maybe its get damaged.
Maybe someone comments on the fact that the two Tanks never met.

LOL
Maybe I am too lazy
yes, I am too lazy.

The model looks great, Dave. There's a bit of a craze going on right now on the Russian forums with correctly scaled 2D soldiers staged with the 3D model in photos. Sergey Kamotsky of Robototehnik has several pages of 2D soldiers available for download on his VK page. I know the judges are supposed to be looking at the model only, but attractive staging can't hurt.
