Hi all. My first post to the site so excuse my lack of experience, any ways last year I was cruising the web looking at pictures of capt Harlocks Arcadia. Which I loved watching as a kid, but sadly couldn't afford them, but hey low and behold I found a paper download so next thing I knew I was hooked, here are photos of the final product.

That's an impressive-looking model.

Even though it dates back to 1977, I was previously unfamiliar with the Captain Harlock anime, but am enjoying learning more about it.

I look forward to seeing more of your models.

Good memories of Harlock and companions.
I've always loved Leiji Matsumoto's characters and stories.

First off, welcome to the site.

Second, be careful of where you download some paper models. A lot of sites post scans of commercial kits and offer them without permission for free download or in some cases sell them. That is called piracy and is a big problem in the paper model community.

Some of those anime shows are very entertaining to watch although some just don't make any sense either in the plot, or how they are presented. Quite a trip watching them.

That's by designer Keiji Matsumoto, what you got is a pirate download. I have the original copy published by Waininagazine in 2001 on my bookshelf.

Oh that's unfortunate its a pirate copy but i do love the pirate irony. I got it on some papercraft website via searching images, however it was free i guess just some fan sharing. Come to think of it it was a very similar forum set up except these guys had a cataloging system by genre. a bit more cos play stuff too and 3d printing. well that also explains why i couldn't read it, i do get the impression from the doc quality that it would have been older than 2001. its got that really old school print to it. mmmm wonder if i can still buy the original.

There are so many pirate sites out there that sooner or later you'll encounter one or more. Another problem with those sites is the ever present danger of embedded malware added to the download.
