glue... lol I havent even put the cylinder in it yet, I will probably do that at the end. just be ready for a few missing links on the instructions, just eyeball it and make a guess, thats what I did, turned out right! lol:p

the build continues! this is fun I have to admit, I havent really build much outside of Aircraft, but I'm really enjoying this! lol

Jules,

Absolutely AWESOME work on this one, and the vehicle mode version as well. Can't wait to build the complete model, but am already working on the head. Thanks for sharing the photos on your site of the other builds of this model, too.

Just for fun and to unclog my print cartridge I printed a picture of what the final model size will be...

Tha's legal size paper 4 x 4 grid

My foot Barely visible

With head build so far.

I'm using a special metalic paper

Almost as wide as my couch.

It will truly be an Amazing Model.

I have been working on Claudio's Bumble Bee when Julius' Optimus Prime came out. I wanted both models to be approximately the same scale so I printed OP Adobe Reader using Page Scaling "Multiple pages per sheet". Printing two pages per sheet (landscape). The height of OP's head is 8.5 cm from the base to the tip of it's wings. The final height of this version should be about 79 cm tall. I figure Bumble Bee will be 46 cm tall (I printed BB at 91% to fit onto 8x11 paper). This means that Bumble Bee will be about half the the size of Optimus which is somewhere near the proper scale.

Very cool, MSP! I will probably do exactly what you have done. I also printed BB at 91%. I was wondering how much to scale down OP to get the 1:2 ratio between BB and OP. They will look very cool next to each other when done. Look forward to seeing your completed scaled build of BB and OP (when it's fully released)! :D

LD - since I am not completely sure how tall BB will turn out - I have completed his head, 2 arms and working on a leg. Claudio stated that BB should be 18 inches or ~46 cm. NOTE: I had a typo above I believe that my BB will be ~42 cm meaning that (42 cm/79 cm)*100 = 53%. Close to a 1:2 ratio but Wikipedia/Web states sizes of BB from 16 to 18 ft with OP being around 28 to 32 ft. Taking the average of these heights 17 ft (BB) and 30 ft (OP) (17 ft/ 30 ft)*100 = 57%. But any ratio from 50% to 64% should be about right.
