Fold Up Funny Cars

A few years ago, Street Tech Magazine had a series of simple paper models called Fold-Up Cruisers for subscribers to their magazine. The artist, Jeff Allison, also created some other funny car models that were available through his Allison Designs website. He now has 3 models that you can currently get for free by putting them in your cart and then applying a promo code. The codes are case sensitive so you have to put them in all caps but they do work. His other models are really cool but a bit pricey for their simplistic nature...but that's just my opinion.

Here's the Corvette from the magazine series. I would love to get the PDFs of these...too bad the issues are long past.

wow...very nice model.
Very nice artwork...but i guess thats what he his selling.

Thats exactly the Mongoose funny car I considered doing once.
I was going to do a proper Snake and Mongoose after I did the cartoon ones,
but I just never got around to it
Now, I think I am going to pick the idea back up!

7.99 is a lot for that model...especially for printable file!
I would be okay with that price for a ready printed sheet in a Hot Rod store though.

Its a big model...full sheet.
And I love the way he incorporated the smoke off the back tires.
I think I'll steal that idea too! lol

If you click through to his Hot Rod Tees store, you'll find a lot of very cool artwork.
But wow...thats a lot of copyrighted stuff.
Even the music on his website...

I have to agree with Dave on the artwork. Very bold.

I think we still struggle with the value of art. And the artist has fantastic art on a very simple template. I think that if the geometry matched the graphics, folks would find it much easier to see the value.
