Very nice find!
On the author's blog there are also several peripherals for the C64... I'm weeping like a child! Take a look at the floppy disks! |

Back in 1989, a friend was designing paper cars/trucks/vans on an an Amstrad CPC 6128 using Oxford PAO (which was probably just the french version of Hogsoft Microdesign). and printing them on his Amstrad dot matrix printer (DMP2160?). I remember the floppy disks (3 inch, not 3.5 or 5.25) were quite expensive.
Not having a computer at the time, my response was borrowing my brother's Rotring pen to make plans that could be xeroxed in B&W. The light blue 5 mm grid wouldn't appear on the copies. /highschool memories

Work wise in 80's I had one of the first NCR desktops in the country at work.
Two floppy drives - one for the program disk + data, one for data. Both floppy drives were 365k! What was interesting in retrospect is the amount of stuff that fitted on those drives. One 365k floppy would hold the equivalent of Word (Wordperfect then) including dictionaries etc plus tons of docs as well. Functionality of the software was not much different to Word nowadays. Nothing plugged into the machines except for a printer cable and keyboard. The power cable was built in. Actually a very attractive machine.

In my garage I have a Apple ][ (integer BASIC) serial number A2S0-01015. I purchased it in late 1977 and I believe it to be the 1,015 Apple ][ built.

1st computer I used was when I started work in 1984. Our business computer was a 48k Apple. I had more power in my Sinclair Spectrum at home that was for playing games on (remember loading the data from audio cassette).
Here I am now tablet based, just like in Star Trek when I was growing up, and selling Ipads for 4yr olds !!😲
