New links

K's ペパカーガレージ
Can't remember where I saw this link, but for fans of street racing anime like Initial D and Wangan Midnight, this guy has small but nice models of the hero's cars. Turn on your browser's translate function to see the English text. One of the links takes you to a new website with models categorized by manufacturer.

https://sites.google.com/site/thingstomaketemp/
This was an old link I lost when the original webpages went offline and WayBack didn't save the graphics. As the name indicates, these were "Things to make for children" and have simple scenery bases, buildings, ships and vehicles for an airport, modern town, train station, farm, army base, pirate lair and western town. Simple but lots of potential for recolors, which the site owner encourages - this is the first time I've seen a parachute store building and a V1 launch site.

K's Paper Cars has an updated website with new models:
https://kspepa.web.fc2.com/model.html

Still has the original cars but now organized by maufacturer, the Initial D/Wangan Midnight/MF Ghost anime cars are found in the link below Saab.

More interesting is the Toyota link, which has the Toyota Century VG40 limousine - considering all the Japanese paper cars out there, a relative rarity!

I'll keep using this topic to report website updates, like this for
http://papirmakett.freeweb.hu/

Under the Kamionok + Potkocsk (trucks and trailers) tab there's been a major revamp, where the original list of trucks included DAF, Mercedes Benz, Renault and Volvo. Only IFA, Kamaz, Maz and Raba remain in the new list, but there are fewer designers who make former Communist-bloc brands anyway.

There are new trucks including cement mixers, tow trucks and fire trucks, but more importantly the quality of the graphics have definitely improved. Definitely worth a visit, even for modelers who aren't familiar with these truck brands.

While looking for inspiration to kitbash an M8 Greyhound in Philippine Army markings I went looking for similar looking APCs and found the Minimodels.cz OT-64 Skot.

That reminded me of the BTR-80 from the Ace Combat games I'd seen posted before on their gamer forums and mentioned by Ninjatoes, but the wayback machine links were dead ends. Today I finally found the original Photobucket host which has everything I remember and more here:

https://s303.photobucket.com/user/Ji...20Works?page=1

They're fairly simple and lack tabs, but there's a lot of variety for the 1970-1990 period - 3 variants each of the HMMWV and M113, tracked and wheeled AAMs, MBTs and trucks. The real finds for me were the Gepard, ZSU-23-4, SA-6 Gainful SSM and of course the BTR-80. And they're in PNG format, easy to recolor and rescale.

The BTR-80 nose isn't as useful as I thought, but the others have real potential!

Here's an update for an old website, the Dougram Bromley heavy mecha transport truck is now available, but check out the other models too.

https://papertoybox.hateblo.jp/entry/download/download1

The Dougram Mavellic (not a typo!) heavy mecha transport helicopter can be found here:

https://web.archive.org/web/20190330...maberikku.html (click the bottom link to the Home directory, then use the translate function to find the Space-time Flying Lesbians 2007 model!)

For those unfamiliar with Fang of the Sun Dougram, it was a 75-episode 1980s military anime (similar plot as original Star Wars) that featured plausible mass-produced combat mecha as opposed to the one-off super robots of early anime like Mazinger and Voltes V. With limited ammunition and endurance they needed support units for transport outside of combat, hence the transports above.

Many of the mecha designs were reused in Battletech/Mechwarrior board/computer games like the Shadow Hawk (the titular Dougram), Wolverine, Griffin, Scorpion, Thunderbolt, Goliath and Battlemaster. Some of these have been done as paper models, do a search for Mechwarrior papercraft.

I've not seen this posted before, came across this when I was looking for G. Rutka's contact details - not the same name I know, but a lucky find. He has simple large scale 1 page models of a Mercedes Benz W123, Ford Escort Mk1, Citroen Ami 6 and Renault R4 GTL here:

https://rokgregorka.jimdofree.com/download/

More digging with the WayBack Machine - the Brusino.com website had Citroen 2CV sedans, AK micro vans and Dyane sedans in many colors and model years, plus some other types. The Specials page already has several models to download including a micro pickup! I was pleasantly surprised most of the files can still be accessed at this link, use the top menu to go to each section:

https://web.archive.org/web/20090201...v_special.html

Take note of the name of the file you want (model/year/color), then when it asks if you want to do a search of the whole website, page through the results to select that particular file.

Just an update on an old link:
http://jeanpierrelarouz.canalblog.com/

Most of his downloads are original buildings and Renault 1000 recolors, but he also recolors French trucks like Bernard, Somua and Citroen from other designers and vintage papercraft. The latest recolor is a Peugeot D4 van, which might begin a new series.

Found a surprise on the Stahlhart papercraft website - if you go to the Grumman F-11 Tiger model page and read the text, there's a link to a secret? page of what-if models of the cancelled F-11F Super Tiger project. I was looking for JASDF models at the time and wondered why Chris's website showed up.

Thanks Chris!

There are also what-if F-5D Skylancers. As with the what-if Super Tiger, the link is in the "about designing the model" page.
