Hi Bob,

if you like historic books I might have another goodie for you:
The AIA (Aerospace Industries Association) offers a complete range of aircraft year books, like e.g. the one from 1930:
http://www.aia-aerospace.org/wp-cont...-YEAR-BOOK.pdf

The series seems to start 1919 and ends somewhere around 197x. If you have a close look at the URL you see the year in between minus signs, like -1930- . You can get any other volume by replacing the year in the URL line at the top of your browser and then press enter again, so to get the 1942 volume place your cursor behind the 30, remove it and type 42.The URL then looks like this:

And if you hit enter the book will load. (Note: do not enter the double quotes, I had to add these to force the program to display the whole line).
You can also modify the number in a plain text editor and then copy and paste it into the URL line of your browser.

I'll add a few more examples:
1919 http://www.aia-aerospace.org/wp-cont...-YEAR-BOOK.pdf
1942 http://www.aia-aerospace.org/wp-cont...-YEAR-BOOK.pdf
1961 http://www.aia-aerospace.org/wp-cont...-YEAR-BOOK.pdf

Hi Shalom,

thank you for the kind words. I love to share stuff with fellow nerds and aficionados and the occasional "thumbs up" definitely helps to motivate me to go on mining the web for useful stuff.

Cheers,

Juergen
