Ebay seller ripping off lots of paper models

Found this guy selling one of my free models - I think he's ripping off a lot more too. If you're inclined, you could give him a report. Thanks!

You can report him to ebay for selling your work without permission and they will ban him................just be willing to jump through their hoops to get it do.

There are a whole lot of other peoples products there, including some of the big companies like GPM.

As John said - contact eBay.

Why not also post a review saying by this model from the original source at only xxx?

Also maybe go through the models and advise GMP etc.of the situation.

I just looked at some of his CD listings and there are some big names in there.
If you order a CD, I'll bet he sends you to a site where you can download them, which is against the ebay rules. At the list prices for the CDs, he would loose money shipping them free from India, unless he is using an embassy mail bag. Years ago, before this forum educated me on pirates, I bid on a paper ship model on ebay. I was notified that I had won the bid ($10) and directed to a Face Book Store site where I was allowed to download the model "saving shipping costs and getting immediate delivery". I suspect now that it was probably a pirate site, but I have never seen the model (USS Alaska) anywhere else and it had no markings other than his.

I looked at the GPM web site, and they sell three versions of a 1/200 USS Alaska model, Gomix, SuperModel and Fly Model. The Gomix model appears to be a reprint of the 1993 Fly model. Your seller may have pirated one of these and removed any identifiers from the publisher when he converted it to a digital file.
GPM sells gun barrels and photo-etch parts for the Alaska.

He's also trying to sell a load of what are in fact free models from Canon, for example. At silly prices, too. Not likely to sell much....

On eBay, you can, in fact, REPORT THE ITEM to eBay.

Click on the item to open it and go down to the section with DESCRIPTION and POSTAGE AND PAYMENT DETAILS.

On the right of the screen, you will see REPORT ITEM.

Click on it (you need to be logged in) and you will be able to report the item for copyright infringement.

I have done this for those I could ID easily, but the more reports the better.
