Savoia Marchetti SM84 1/33 Andrzej Inwald

From the polish website Konradus, it is possible to download a magnificent
Savoia Marchetti Sm84, the Sparviero stupid brother. It is a astonishing model in 1/33, work of Andrzej Inwald, only for very determined modeller (46 pages!).
The files are the two zippyshare.

The Sm84 is considered in Italy the Stupid brother of the Sm79 Sparviero. It had the same wing, more powerful (but not reliable) engines, 360 degree turret, better bomber displacement, more protection. Yet all this weight made it difficult to control in low flight, and the top speed was more or less the same. The Italian pilots preferred the more nimble Sparviero, and the only success the SM84 achieved was the torpedoing of the Nelson Battleship (at the cost of many planes shoot down).

Magnificent mottle camouflage.Great model too like all models from Mr Inwald.Too bad they are made for very advanced modelers and there is no easy way to simplify them.

ABC magazine produced a similar simplified model - it builds up well too.

I cannot remember which exact aircraft the model is of.

It is indeed a magnificent model. Thank for the background information.

The SM84 may have been stupid, but it was a handsome airplane to my eye.

Italians did build many very handsome looking aeroplanes ,no doubt about that.Fortunately for Allies many of them had troublesome engines.

Sounds a bit like some Italian car makes. Some things don't change but I'm sure they are working had on it

A beautiful model to be sure. 46 pages of parts though, OMG! With my short attention span and need for instant gratification, I'd probably move on to something else before I even got it all printed out.

The model looks great, to the same high standard as previous Inwald models.

Page 14 seems to be missing from the instructions, or maybe just a page numbering error...?
