Wink Deadliest Catch Paper Models

Well, I was looking for plans for some of the boats in the Discovery Channel's Deadliest Catch series - and low and behold - there are some kids play sets - paper models - available as downloads.

Make Your Own Deadliest Catch Playset! - Deadliest Catch Wiki

I've got a ways to go yet - but I am seriously thinking that when I get around to building my own designs - 1/200 scale of the "Northwestern," "Time Bandit," "Cornelia Marie," "Maverick," and the "Wizard" would be definitely fun. That and the old salvage tug "Foundation Franklin."

Those of us in Houston could use some Bering Sea cold right now - it's 110 with 94% humidity on my back porch at 5:30p.

I too am fascinated by the show and would delight in having those ships on my shelf. I imagine the crab pots and some of the gear could prove quite challenging to pull off realistically.

Texman, I foresee only one or two individual pots. For safety reasons in practice they keep all the pots on board secured in a stack until used. Thus only the few that actually being processed would need to be individual. Hence I figure I'd just put in several "blocks" of pots, that could reflect an entire deckload, a half deckload, and a "just a few left," mode.
