Little House on the Prairie

Found this site by accident. Has the entire town of Walnut Grove, Little House, and the first little house before they moved to Walnut Grove. They are free models. Don't think this site was posted before. I was looking through the "Found it on the internet" postings and didn't see it.

Here is the link: PaperPrairie – Little House on the Prairie FREE printables

I was going to make some of these for my folks once, since they are fans, but I wanted to make them like the advanced builds pictured there, but those models weren't available. They have added some Christmas models and Hope Valley (whatever that is). Who knows, maybe the 'advanced' models are available now, if I can find them

Okay, I think it is obvious to those who have noticed my responses about that evil device called Facebook that I think it is a horrible thing (read once that psychologists correlated Facebook activity with likelihood of suicide). But in my search for the 'detailed' models, I went to the FB page, Log into Facebook

Any time the subject comes up, the answer is the same -- this was the early version, unavailable for download.

I had to backtrack to see when I first learned of these, and I can thank Chris, Little House on the Prairie Paper Models | Tektonten Papercraft

I thought I had mentioned it here, but evidently not

BTW, here is the link for the Hope Valley models, HopeValley FREE Printables

When I stashed those away, I thought I might come back and try to detail them out, with separate figures instead of painted on the walls, but like so many projects, it seemed like too much work at the time.

Since this came up again, I have started rethinking things. Fiddlers Green has the New England village you can build in N-scale, so as a counter balance, the annoying things on these would not be as glaring if I reduced it to N-scale. Hmm, maybe.

As far as the Hope Valley models, they are done in the same fashion, only some of the simplification is even more annoying, but in the overall views, I still think they would hold up at reduced scale

To my own children and to many children in school classes
I have read the stories "Our Little Farm" to them.
For me, they are wonderful testimonies to outstanding children's and young people's literature.
Now it is the turn of the grandchildren to enter into the life of Laura and her family.

After seeing those, I have definitely decided to make a little (N-scale) village for my folks who are big fans. I will mount it on presentation foam board so that it can hang on the wall, like my Mos Eisley Cantina build that I gave to an older gentleman in the nursing home who is/was a huge Star Wars fan. With the lock-downs, and frequent covid-incidence, I haven't been there in a long, long time
