The fifth parts sheets makes up the aft outer fuselage. It’s a bit more fragile than the front, so I just cut out a few petals at a time and glued them together before continuing to the next set. The finished shell is then glued to the front shell. The bottom is left open to allow the cockpit to be installed later.

The accordion shaped unit above the door is also on page 5. Many thin parts are glued together to make this part.

The interior parts are attached to the exterior parts at the left side of the door, and at the window.

Parts sheet 6 makes up the base of the EVA and it’s associated lights and hand hold.

The mating of the base to the pod takes lots of patience. In many places straight cuts on the base are glued to curved portions of the pod. Trial fitting and trimming are required. The dotted fold lines are very prominent. I wish they were printed off the edge of the parts, or at least designed with much lighter hues.

I had a problem with the pod door catching on the interior parts when opening. My fix was to add a fairing to the interior door (the gray part) from the edge of the interior rectangular part to the outer edge of the door.

Page 7 and 8 are the left and right exterior sides of the pod. Not too difficult to assemble, just make sure all the seams are on the bottom. I had to trim up the right side a little to clear the lower door track.

Sheet 9 has all the little bits that make up the claws. I cut off all the tabs since they are not needed on such small parts. Once again the dotted fold lines are too obvious. For variation I built up the right side assembly deployed for capturing floating astronauts. Once this is done, the model is complete.
