The Trotskiy planes are intended to be gliders.
The fuselage cross section is square.
The wings are flat.
There is an additional ring of paper which goes over the nose of the plane and probably serves to strengthen the nose when the plane crashes.

I have built some of the German fighters in 1/144 scale to be used in a war game, "B17-Queen of the Skies".

Incidentally, the date on the Trotskiy site has changed to 08 AUG 09.
This may mean that a new plane will be available on 08 AUG 09.

Dimensionalizing Trotskies

Chris Walas is among those who have managed to round out and add some dimenionality to the Trotsky models.

I have also played around with adding spars to the wings, but have few completed aircraft to show. Here are some photos of work in progress.

Thanks for posting those photos, Don!

They show how nicely these models come out, yours particularly so with a bit of extra attention to shaping the wings, etc. Your photos show an extremely attractive display model; thanks again!

Cheers!
Jim

I am not familiar with the site that you are all talking about. Would someone be willing to post a link or something so I could check it out? Thanks

This is the site: Trotskiy's Studio

If you scan back through this thread, you will get a lot of information about the site and the recent changes. There are also a lot of builds by various folks.
