Yes. This here George is another aircraft (No. 37, Tail Number A-343-37) of the 301st Fighter Squadron, 343d Naval Air Group at Matsuyama Air Base in April 1945.
There are five kill markings. I don't know who the pilot was, but that information must be out there somewhere. Perhaps someone has a copy of the Osprey book, Imperial Japanese Navy Aces 1937–45 (http://www.ospreypublishing.com/titl...hp/title=P7279). It may be in there. With all these Trotskiy IJN aircraft appearing, I am going to get a copy. If you also decide to purchase a copy, you might (ahem) check this one out, too: http://www.ospreypublishing.com/titl...hp/title=S6216 Don Last edited by Don Boose; 01-17-2008 at 09:38 AM. |

Hmmm...the additional suggested (ahem) tome looks mighty tempting - can you vouch for the author??

Ron -- He is definitely a suspicious character.
Rick, et al -- By all means save a couple of bucks. I like to see the Squadron Shop supported and I do not get any royalties for this book. |

Thanks for the heads up. I hadn't checked in for a day or so and missed that Trotskiy had offered a new airplane.
The heading on the model only says "Type 18 Interceptor, Shinden (J7W1) June 1945 (Showa Year 20). Don |
