Working from the code letters "W2 T" - seems to be 80 Squadron based in Hong Kong from 1949 to 1951 with Mk 24 Spitfires.

You're right on target, as always, Charlie! The caption reads Dai 80 Hikotai [No. 80 Squadron (literally, "Flying Unit")] B Furaito [B Flight] Honkon [Hong Kong] 1950-nen [year]

The model appears identical to the previous release of this aircraft, but Trotskiy-san has provided the distinctive five-bladed airscrew for this Mk.24.

Werner -- My apologies for the confusion and thanks for the photo of your box of Trotskies. I've seen many photos of your Trotskiy models in the past and they are all excellent.

It is Hawker Typhoon IB, serial MM987, code TP-Z, indentified as the aircraft of Squadron Leader J.R. Baldwin, the commander of No. 198 Squadron in Chris Thomas, “Hawker Typhoon and tempest Aces of World War II,” Osprey Aircraft of the Aces 27, Oxford, UK: Osprey Publications, 1999, p. 92. Apparently, it was the second of Baldwin's Typhoons coded as TP-Z.

The caption reads Dai 198 Hikotai (No. 198 Squadron), 1944-nen 3-gatsu (March 1944), Mansuton (Manston).

Manston was (and still is) located in northeastern Kent on the Isle of Thanet. The RAF station closed in 1996, but there are two RAF-related museums and a fire fighters museum now located there.

This one seems to be a popular model subject in a number of mediums. It's a Sea Fury FB.11 no. WE 683 based at RNAS (Royal Navy Air Station) Stretton in 1953. Operated by 1831 Squadron RNVR (Royal Navy Volunteer Reserve).
