Well, it is new to me, Tapcho Thank you very much!

I think that lifeboats are some of the coolest, most interesting small vessels ever. Their history and the history of the brave people who have sailed on them is both fascinating and inspiring.

Where it's new to anyone, I suggest following the link to "Carlos' web site" through Yahoo and the Wayback machine. At least some of the links to his other models seem to be still working.

i really admire those guys, almost often volunteers, on their spare time, going where nobody in their right mind would even think of going, just to save somebody's life
there should be a nobel category for these men and women, hats off to them

Built it a year ago and gave it away as a present. Beautiful and user friendly to build. I have been thinking of doing it over again, time permitting.
