Optical illusion

This one is for Jason as I know he appreciates the strange. Apologies if you've seen it before. A spooky dragon! It comes from:

http://www.grand-illusions.com/

The model page is:

There is a movie clip on the site which explains how it works. I made one. It was very easy (just one piece) but surprisingly effective. Some even find it disturbing.

I built one of those many years ago and it has been quite popular over the years. The illusion is disturbing for some, as you mentioned, but more in a 'wow that is neat and weird' way rather than a bad way.:D

Ah the spooky dragons! Always worth a repost. Consider making small ones, lots of them, some reversed, and see what happens when you walk past.... they turn their heads in different directions!

Oooh, I like Kaz's suggestion. Beginning to tremble with excitement.

Are there any other optical illusions out there?

I built one of those, but it never worked for me! It worked for other people in the office, but I never saw the nose pointing out, always pointing in. Guess that's because I made it, had it in my hand for ages, saw it put together. Moral: if you want to see the illusion, get somebody else to make it!:D
