Was called the "Variamatic" a variable speed transmission. Ford has been working with the concept over the last few years. Back to trucks. Yes I would like to see some 25/24 scale construction equipment, trucks and farm equipment.

Variomatic, to be exact, they had a problem with the image, because a lot of elderly people drove them, because they liked the automatic transmissin, most car from that period had hand-shifted gears.
The good thing about the Variomatic was that the car could drive in reverse just as fast as forward...:D

In the UK they were popular with archaeologists... so there's an obvious connection! Nice picture Billy, I only remember them in red or orange.

Yes - the Daf 33 with "variomatic" drive - which meant two conical shafts connected by a flexible belt.
I have the file for a card model of this, but I can't remember where I got it from. It's marked "Designed by G Rutka". Anyone know it?
