Top Gear Saturday

Talking of three-wheelers - did any other Brits see Clarkson in the Reliant Robin in Top Gear? Hilarious. He kept trying to turn left-hand corners in it and of course you can't do that at any speed above 10mph. Naturally the little thing kept turning over.
Tried to get it off YouTube but it looks like the Beeb has blocked it. There's this one, though - YouTube - Reliant Robin Rollover
Can you imagine bringing one of those over to the continent? You'd do that at every roundabout!

When those little Reliants were popular here, they used to regularly tip over at roundabouts like that. They were so popular because you used to be allowed to drive one with only a motorcycle licence.

I used to work with a guy who had one, and he was tipped over while turning into a side-street.
He had slowed it for the turn - but because they needed to slow more than other cars, he caught out the driver of the car behind, so it clipped his outer rear quarter as it went past, and tipped the Reliant onto it's side.
In the past, I've helped to tip 2 of them back onto their wheels :D

On a whim I checked out the DAF Trucks paper craft page

It seems that Georg Rutka has been busy, there were 4 trucks or so available,

Now they have added 4 more trucks, a Dump Truck, and Tractor Trailers
including the mid '80s 3600 ATI SpaceCab tractor, and trailer

Rick

The 3-wheeler site listed above is Gone.
"Site Suspended" is what I get.

I did just add to my DAF trucks paper collection though.

ZMK models

In case anyone doesn't know this one and wants more DAF trucks, check out Download 1:100 for some superb 1/100th scale models:

I've built several of these, and also rescaled and repainted them them for my OO railway layout. The detail is excellent.

I still can not get into that site "zmk.kvalitne.cz/100.html"
My Maxthon3 browser refuses to find it:
"Cannot connect to website,
Please make sure;

You have entered the correct url,
You are connected to the Internet,
Your Firewall is properly configured
The website is not experiencing any technical
problem at the monent

and I get this error in Firefox;
The connection was reset

The connection to the server was reset while the page was loading.

The site could be temporarily unavailable or too busy. Try again in a few
moments.
If you are unable to load any pages, check your computer's network
connection.
If your computer or network is protected by a firewall or proxy, make sure
that Firefox is permitted to access the Web.

Since I was reading email in one tab, I AM able to access the web, just not that site.
Is there some Proxy server to try, or some Block between me & there??

Even when I type the link address in directly I get the same results

Basically the same errors on each

Do I have to disable the firewall to get in??
Does Comcast block this site or maybe Avast Antivirus ????

Whatever it is, it's on your end. The link works in all my browsers (Firefox 11, Google Chrome, Seamonkey 2.8, Opera 11, IE 9 and even good old Netscape 4.8)
