Paper Art....

Thought this was pretty amazing!! Some of the nicest original work I've ever seen in paper... Hopefully this hasn't been posted before and I just missed it. Love the subjects depicted.

Just Maybe...,

Peter!

Where have you been! Hope all is well with you.

I'm speculating but I believe they use the spray casting method, where a very finely ground pulp mixture is sprayed through a texture gun onto the mold surface. The back is then packed with bulk fiber, pressed and allowed to dry. This method yields very fine surface detail.

Of course this is just a couple of feet on the whole nine yards of a business that they've developed from it...,

Best regards, +Gil

Wow!

Un-smegging-believable! It says the paper pulp is put into a mould, alright, but think about this - the mould has to be made in the first place from a sculpted original, and that in itself is a tremendous work of art.

This is waaaaay beyond what we mere mortals consider to be paper modelling!

Thanks Gil & Bart... In a little bit of a builders rut/block at the moment, but plugging away on a couple of projects. I check the forum everyday to view all of the amazing work being put out by fellow members. Quality of workmanship and designs just seem to get better & better..
Hard to stay indoors living on the coast!!!
Cheers..
