Nice and quick, got to like that! Looks good Jay, easy to see how you can get hooked on those little planes:D:D
(Side note--Papermodelfan thanks! the S-38 is mine, and I'm very pleased you liked it so much, I've been worried it was too many parts for anybody to build..my personal fav design, Staggerwing next fav I've done so far...)

I am building another Nieuport 28 now. I shrunk it down to a wingspan of 3.5 inches...don't know what the scale is though. It all fit on a 4x6 chunk of posterboard left over from a kids school project. I didn't bother with the seat, I just blackened the pilots area with a sharpie...yah I wimped out. I haven't decided about the rigging yet, I don't think I have anything thin enough. I took advice from another thread here and layered the print out for the radial engine and cut out the front piece with the cylinders so that it has a good 3-d look. You gotta love Fiddlersgreen models! Even shrunk down they are a pleasure to build!

And Dan would know GeeBees!

Those 1930s air racers are nice models, Jay. I hope you build some more! I recommend the Turner Meteor (the only one I've built so far) as a very attractive color scheme and a model that goes together well.

Thanks Guys,

I have to admit that there is a certain satisfaction in a model that goes together as easily as this and quick too. I have been checking out the other sets that Chip has and the race planes set is also on my list. It has one of my all time favorites from when I was a kid, "Mr. Mulligan". I remember building the old Revell styrene kit when I was a budding modeler many moons ago.

Hey, Treadhead,

Check the FG Piper J-3 Cub. There is a page of stuff on the web site that includes floats.

I buy some of these. I have the F-80 Shooting Star and the Grumman Duck. I buy these because they come with many accessory detail things to make. And I think they are nice looking model so far.

Some, they are not so nice, but there is so many to pick from and they are not dear to buy any way.

Jay, your Gee Bee reminds me of the days I was really into FG models. Let me join in FG fan club here. My favorite is racers of Golden Age of Aviation as are on the attached picture. I built them using glossy photo copy paper. Inspired by your build I will build FG kits from time to time.

Good-looking models, as always, Yu-sama!

I look forward to seeing more of your FG models, Jay.
