Newly Acquired
Hi all,
I wanted to share some of the kits I have been able to purchase and win through auctions. first up are 6 books, authored by Edmund V. Gillon I really wanted to get the movable kits he released. All of these were bought through Amazon. Up next is the Utility 3 in 1 kit trailer set, published by Z-Art. You can build one of 3 of the pictured trailers, and on the website, a blank version for the Curtain Side option is available if you care to do your own. With all of the hype surrounding Episode VII(Star Wars) Jazwares has released figures and kits, 4 different characters, 12 inches tall, Darth Vader, a Stormtrooper, Han Solo and Chewbacca, the kits include a Death Star play set, and a Millennium Falcon, and Tatooine scene. Also part of the Blueprints Papercraft line, are the Avengers. And the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles If you have kids or grandkids and you want to expose them to paper modeling, I recommend looking at the Blueprint lines, the kits are simple to put together, no gluing or cutting required. And I have more kits on the way, and will share them here Rick

The Build Your Own Guillotine book I bought somewhere about 1982-84.
I built the supporting structure, but never finished anything else. I transported the remaining parts, the book, and the partially built structure around, in a cardboard box, through two or three home moves and finally pitched it all in the trash a few months before getting hooked on Paper Modeling via the Internet. (I'm so angry at myself for throwing it away now.) From what I can remember, it was a great model. I'd love to have it once again.

I wanted to share some more winnings and purchases
After Darth, I decided the rest of the band needed to join And to finish off the Avengers Super Group, I was able to add Iron Man and Thor, with a guest appearance by Spiderman One of the more simplistic "models" is the Cobra helicopter From a company called Cubic Fun, this model, while technically made with paper is not a paper model, it is 2 sheets of paper, with a layer of foam sandwiched in between. Some other kits include a Kiev aircraft carrier, and a Sukhoi Su-355 jet. From our friends at Z-art, I was able to bid on and win their second 1:32 trailer model, a 200 Barrel tanker trailer Also bought on ebay, are the Gundam metal models, the MS-06 Zaku II and RX-78-2 Gundam 3 sheets of instructions, 5 sides showing the step by step work. included are the Axe handle for the Zaku, and Laser Sword for the Gundam. the sheets are longer than the Iconx line of Metal Earth models from Fascinations. Last up is an interesting book, the Star Trek Action Toy Book I found it after reading bgt01's thread on the punch out bridge contains 9 different models that you can build, all with some method with which you can interact with the model, including wearing Mr. Spock's ears And I do think I will be buying more in the future, so stay tuned if you are interested Rick
