Smile Galatea- jsc-295

This arrived in post today.
She is the trinity house vessel Galatea. She is scaled at 1;250 and is waterline.
Parts are on 9xA4 sheets and number 322/603 depending on whether you choose simple or detailed version.Model is dated 2007.She builds to a length of 322mm<13 inches>
Difficulty is listed at 2/3 depending again on which version you choose and model includes 7 buoys as deck cargo as well as 2 helicopters,
laser cut parts can be bought separately as well as optional laser cut wooden decking details.
Instructions are in english, polish and dutch with plenty of diagrams. The detailed version looks like a good challenge for experienced builders.Nice touch is the inclusion of seascape sheet to use a s base to model

The ship itself along with her sister ship Pharos was built at Remontowa shipyard in Gdansk,Poland and galatea was launched in july 2006.

Looks like a fine model of a really big and powerful buoy tender.

Thanks, Herky.

We made a trip through Scotland last month, and saw the Pharos (sistership to the Galatea) in Oban, loading new buoys and other bits and pieces. We also saw another JSC model, the Fishery patrol vessel Hirta. More pictures on my Flickr collection: https://www.flickr.com/photos/zeist_bouwplaten/
