Paper Events or info about known paper displays/exhibits (such as an upcoming Victoria and Albert exhibition coming later this year (?) in London) would be good too.

Yes Tristate scale modelers (TSSM) still exists and meets the second Tuesday evening of each month at the Hagerstown YMCA. I will pm you a contact for them. I am not sure if they are currently affiliated with IPMS as their membership dropped significantly around 2012 due to previous change of venue.
