Smile 1/50 Mitsubishi Ki-30 Ann

Hi. As modeler and beginner designer I'm an enthusiast of obscure ones, the prototypes but I'm a fan too for the forgotten ones like the Ki-30 Ann.

Because I'm stuck with another design this awake after I saw some model on internet and now I'm finishing it.

This Japanese light bomber was used first in the Sino War and in the early stages of WWI. You can read more about the "Ann" here:

Mitsubishi Ki-30 - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Some pictures:

and two very interesting paint schemes:

Really I'm going to do the Thai one. An elephant on the plane is too cool.

The model is ready to unroll, here some renders:

I hope to update soon.

Gary no on this one. It's going to be on NOBI or Kampflliger style with opaque cabin. Sorry for the delay on the answer.

Testing Undercarriage

Well, something I've to check if it's buildable is the undercarriage. It's my first design this type of planes so I'm a bit afraid. Parts can look fantastic on Rhino but build them is another history. It's not fair expose the poor beta tester with something unbuildable

It's a quick and dirty build but the shape seems OK:

One very important point is the builder can achieve the correct shape, I'm happy because the I think the build is close to the shape on the right:

Some part is reversed, the cut goes in the other side but to check the general shape is ok.
I'm was a bit concerned for the undercarriage strength so I put some reinforcements in the interior. I need a ajust the size a bit but it's look good to me:

Finally I think the undercarriage looks good. What do you think ?
