Looking forward to seeing this build/design progress.
I think you'll be able to design it with all your experience.

hello again,
sorry for taking so long since my last post I'll try to not make the others this far apart.
thank you all for your words of support on this project.

this isn't the latest work I've done it is from a couple weeks ago I was working on the nose and got it pretty close to being done.

next I tried a Idea for the fuselage construction there will be ribs in the cargo hold to help strengthen it as well as keep the shape then the floors will help in giving the right shape

since then I've been working on drafting out the cargo and flight station/troop compartment decks and the details in them plus some other stuff I'll put in the next post.

A tip...

I don't like the pointy tip in the middle of a dome or rounded nose cone.
So I started using a two-piece part to finish the center of the dome parts.
And the part is much easier to smooth out
and you can shape it into a nice curved surface.

I think it makes for a better looking nosecone or domed part.

Just an idea for you.

Even on the real airplane, the floors are required for holding the shape of the fuselage.

I am so glad you are still designing this one!

Wow! You going to do interior for that 1/72 beast too! Now I am even more interested to see how you going to hold up the wings.

Yes I am still not done with the nose so I will work on it to get that right dome shape. Thanks for pointing that out. On the wing braces to hold the wing that is something I need to think on how to construct.
Here is a floor plan I found on the internet just to give you all a idea how detailed it will be
