Chris, your work is something else. You have a real talent for this. Merry Christmas to you and all those you love.

On it shouldn't be too long. Although experience tells me it's always longer than planned!

Working on the fold-flat parts. This is a test build for the large bottom level (14x12"). The structure is a full size base, then the middle layer with recess areas for the insertion flaps of the wall modules and then the texture layer. The inserted flaps are held by friction in place.

And in this case another recess and texture level for the inner wall. So five layers! Very sturdy ... and flat for storage.

The perimeter walk for this layer is 2" wide. Enough for lots of ninja vs samurai action. Or in this case dealing with an Oni!

Mental note to self. Don't hastily glue parts together when the better half is waiting for you to go shopping. The center area should look like a cross shape pattern in the middle

Next are the walls with insertion flaps ...

Have been working on the fold-flat version of the walls. Finished the outside walls today (but found a glitch with the floor flaps, so have to redo the floor).

Wall modules stuck together ...

... and disassembled for storage!

Floors finished! Had to rebuild the floor because of flaps flippin' during the walls development.

Have a look at the complete bottom level

And this is what it looks like disassembled

Will flip through my research material and see if I can come up with some interior stuff (furniture etc) to fill the space ...

I really enjoy watching you take a building through its paces, so to speak. Looking forward to further updates.
