Take your time, better to get it to your satisfaction than release something half done (Microsoft anyone ?)

Finally finished all the wall levels. It's just the outsides textured so far. So now comes the stage to deal with the interior. Floor and interior walls and then what to do with the huge rooms

Looking very good Chris. You keep this up and I might have to shake a few bucks loose for when you finally release it.

Have been working on entrances for the Castle this week. It took longer than expected

I wanted to detach the door texture from the walls as there are so many possible locations on the wall panels, it would result in too many layers to choose from. So I incorporated the door into the entrance module.

This is the 2" entrance (and the very early prototype next to it ) This features a lighter wood and dowels version)

And then there is the 4" version with darker wood and metal bolts.

Placed the entrances on the wall and added a couple of minifigs for scale reference. If you remember the entrance from the Tower set, I just had the wood frames on the side. This time I added a filler texture so you can make a fast build. Obviously you can still cut out the filler if you like the wood bars only sides better!

I also want to make the interior equivalent (in case gamers need it for interior gameplay).

Very happy now I got that finished. I have finished the interior walls of the outside walls. Next week I need to work on the inside walls holding the wide roof. So basically I am switching from the outside to the inside

Have returned to working on the castle. This is what the interior will be looking like. I need to improve on some details but one can see where it is heading. There will be a couple of variations for the inner walls with added shoji panels. This is a simple version with entrances. Another version could be just having the columns like I have seen is the case with most castles. The perimeter walk for the larger levels will be two inches wide.

I will be offline for a couple of days to visit the family for festivity crazyness and then I will be back for more!

Thanks to everybody who was watching here. Wish you all a relaxed and peaceful xmas holidays. And for all you guys on the northern hemisphere like me: The days are now getting longer again!!!
