Gee-Bee Model Z

Hi, everybody. I'm Andy, from Colombia, a Granville Brothers aircraft fan. I got a question: ¿There's another Gee Bee Model Z kit than fiddlergreen's one? I found a lot of R-1s and R-2s, but the black/yellow bug is a kind of cryptomodel in papercraft world...

I knew I had a Bee Gee Z in my stash, but it turns out to be the Fidlers Green one. I've not got around to building this though, so I'm wondering what you found wrong with it?

Too big or small I wonder? Personally I'm looking more towards shrinking them down to 1:300 to go amongst my Bruno collection, but my current state of health is preventing me from trying for a while yet. Hands are still too shaky.

22 years ago Lou Dausse of PMI was selling a 3 kit series of GeeBee models designed by John M. Cook. Can't remember if these were 1/32 or 1/48 scale. The image I found on an old CD does not mention scale. The problem is J.M.Cook, Lou Dausse/PMI are no longer active, so this kit is long exinct.

regards, Jeff C.

That Z looks amazing. Definitively, this is a crytomodel. It should be easier to find a sasquatch...

Same goes for the Rocketeer GeeBee...which is an altered copy of the Z racer
(longer wings, longer fuselage, less powerful to make it fly safely)
surprisingly there is no model of the Rocketeer plane either.

I used the Fiddlers model.
