Bleriot XI (Fiddler's Green)
A couple of quick shots of my just completed Bleriot XI. This is an older version - I started it before realising there was an updated one. The new one has subtler colouring and the model is redesigned around the wing roots.
I used cut down and sanded lollipop sticks to give wings strength and for alignment, brass wire for the a-frame, and elastic thread for rigging. I made bit of a mess of the undercarriage but it was all good practise! Hasty prop blur was done in Photoshop. |

Love the photos - great settings
My brain would not have got past using the channel as a backdrop Tim |

Well done!
I too like your choice if background. The idea of sails and wings is well represented. I also like the colors you selected. Thnx SFX |

Many thanks! Pure luck with the colours! Because of the opaque fuselage and nose framework I was struggling to take a picture of it on the ground. I just hung Louis from the ceiling and realised the picture behind made a nice backdrop .
