Whippet (WWI tank) Fiddler's Green

Some snaps of my latest build:

Lots of CA and paint on this one! The laser print I'd made rubbed off very easily (so I coated with Klear and that helped).

Added a few scratchbuilt extras: machine guns and the exhaust mufflers.

I mighty handsome build and display. Clear coats definitely help laser prints stop flaking.

Thanks for sharing

Nice dio. What material did you use for the base?

Thanks! Base was polystyrene ceiling tiles then Claycrete. Roots were pressed into surface, painted up and Mod-Podge used to make the mud glossy and wet-looking. It was bit of a test piece for another WWI trench dio (in progress) that I saved for using as scenery - hence tank and figures not bedded down in the mud.

Well I'll say, your creativity with the base paid off... makes me feel wet, cold and miserable.

Great work all around, can't wait to see your trench dio.
