try craft stores, office supply stores and art stores for different types of plastic and acetate sheet...everything from letter size up to 30" rolls of mylar.
personally, I collect packaging acetates and plastics.

I have used clear enamel paint and nail polish to glue acetates to paper and plastic. I am a horder of package blisters also. You just never know when.

If you dip the clear plastic in Future Floor Wax it will not fog when using CA glue. I pore Future in a bowl and holding canopy with needle nose pliers dip it in the wax and then set it (stand it) on a folded paper towel and cover with a box (or something) to keep dust off while it drys. Future is a Acrylic wax, also called Pledge floor wax is some places. As a side bonus it makes the canopy VERY clear looking......Rich

Well... I use the acetate that is sold in office supply stores. Nothing fancy.
