NOBI's P-51 Gunfighter in 1/33

Here's NOBI's P-51 D Mustang "Gunfighter".

NOBI offered this model in 1/48 scale, so I went ahead and blowed it up to 1/33 scale, by printing the patterns at 145%.

Then, as I wanted to add full cockpit into the model, I printed one of Dave Winfield P-51's cockpit, and it was not hard to get it inside of NOBI's Mustang.

Another modifications:
a) Propellers are also from one of Dave's Mustangs.
b) Exhaust are from Dave's Mustang in the 2D configuration, but those are besides NOBI's exhaust pattern, as you can see in the photos.
c) For the wheels, I added 3 more cardboard roundels to each wheel to make them a little thicker.
d) I added 2 cardboard roundels for the tail wheel also.

Other than that, is all NOBI's design.

NOBI's Mustang is a very nice addition to the Mustang collection (for which I don't get bored of).

Oh, yeah, and for those still in doubt, I can say that NOBI's Mustang is a very good design, and different from the ones from Dave. Both designers have their own special features that makes building them real treats.

Oh Yeah! I love the Gunfighter Gerardo! Going to get mine ASAP. Hopefully I can build it soon and take it out to the hangar where this beauty sleeps in the winter. I bet the CAF guys would love it.
