IAR 80 1:50 Marek Pacyński

This is a model which I have recently finished. I like the scale of 1:50 because the models take up less space, and you can build them in a similar accuracy as in 1:33 scale. The model was built up pretty well. I also made a transparent canopy, bays landing gear, separate elevators, rudder and flaps, designed the engine. It took me a little time, but the plane looks much better. Unfortunately the diameter of the motor cowling is too high by 1 mm, and this breaks the silhouette of model that does not look as nice as the original.

You did a great job, your additions really add to kit. I really like the job you did on the spinner, you made petals look good.

This is just a sexy little plane, that looks like it would be happier on a pre-war race circuit.

Nice build and excellent engine. Don't worry about the extra mm on the engine - if you don't mention it no one will know!
