Curtiss P-40 Warhawk ''Aleutian Tiger''
This time very rare model of P-40. It was later remastered in GPM no.15 but this one is original first release. Scale 1/33.
P-40 Warhawk - magnificent piece of american aviation and personally, one of my favorite planes. |

Fine work on this historic aircraft of the 11th Fighter Squadron, 343rd Fighter Group, 11th Air Force, Unmak, Alaska, as it appeared in the summer of 1942. The aircraft was flown by then-Captain John S. Chennault, who later, as a lieutenant colonel, commanded the 343rd Fighter Group. He was the son of General Claire Chennault, who commanded the American Volunteer Group (Flying Tigers) in China and Burma and later the 14th Air Force in China.
