Here's the Curtiss SC-1 Seahawk - scout seaplane operating from cruisers and battleships during late stage of Pacific War.
Some of them were stationed in US naval bases.
There not much information about this plane. Maybe Don knows something interesting?

I tried to find some information about this particular seaplane(ship or naval base, where it was used, etc.).No result. Have no idea is that possible to find anything by markings...

So far, I have been unable to identify this aircraft. One of the best sources on U.S. Navy ship-board floatplanes is William T. Larkins, Battleship and Cruiser Aircraft of the U.S. Navy, 1910-1949 (Atglen, PA: Schiffer Military/Aviation History, 1996)

From the three-tone color scheme, we can say that it is likely (but not positively) a wartime aircraft, since the three-tone scheme was used from January 1943 to March 1944. [Larkins, pp. 82-83), although aircraft continued to carry, and even to be painted in that scheme long afterward. Larkins provides images of three-tone SC-1s (pp. 220-221) and there is an image of a three-tone SC-2, probably taken after the end of the war, on p. 449 of Peter M. Bowers, Curtiss Aircraft 1907-1947 (Annapolis: Naval Institute Press, 1987 reprint of original 1979 Putnam edition).

The SC-1 entered service sometime between March and December 1944. By December 1944, SC-1s were serving with Cruiser Scout Squadron 8 (VCS-8) aboard USS Savannah, VCS-16 (USS Alaska and Guam, VCS-18 (USS Topeka), VCS-19 (USS Dayton), and VCS-20 (USS Oklahoma City and Amsterdam). Four SC-1 were also aboard USS Chicago at the Philadelphia Navy Yard and unassigned to any squadron[Larkins, p. 160-161]. By 1946, the SC-1 was the only float plane carried by active-duty U.S> Navy ships [Ibid., pp. 164-165].

I'm sorry not to be of more help. I hope that someone else in the Forum with more knowledge than I can provide more specific information. Is there any info at all in the Model Kartonowy kit material?

That's quite a lot information, Don. Thanks. I hope others also find it useful.
Kit material had only instructions, no historical information and even no basic data like wingspan, height, speed, etc.
Nevertheless, it's very nice model, untypical and pretty well designed so I can recommend it.
