Surf's Up!

I picked up this cool dude automaton in a gift shop in Totnes, Devon, a coiple of years ago while on holiday. They had a working model powered by electic motor going frantic in the window and I knew I just had to have one to make. So here he is.

That looks like it was a fun build.
I did a card stock lion a long time ago from a book
given to me by my sister-in-law that had several moving automaton projects. I made
the lion for my niece about 20 years ago. Turn the crank and the lion would have a
comic strip bubble pop out of his mouth with the words "ROAR" on both sides
