Something a little different now. The Pribram Nativity Scene, published by Albatros, Prague, 1970, and designed by Jan Caka.

Some years ago I posted a link to these pictures when I had a Photobucket account, but I closed the account when Photobucket went doolally and refused to let me access my own photos. So here they are again - to save them being lost to posterity!

Very nice. Almost like a 3D painting.

Love the Nativity scene Philip. Your wife is a paper artist that's for sure. Wish she'd return to it. There have to be many new models out there waiting for her touch.

Fascinating spread of models. I especially liked the windmill. She really should return to the hobby.

Reply from the other half

Hello, I'm Philip's other half. I'd like to thank you all for your generous comments regarding my abilities. I'm a bit lost for words. While my modeling phase is over I have to say it was fun, and infuriating, while it lasted.

Philip continues to beaver away with his scalpel and glue, however. And so he should: I taught him all he knows!

Thank you once more,

Sue

Back to some more architecture. This is Sue's take on L'Instant Durable's Traditional Houses of Brittany and Normandy. They seemed to cry out for a diorama setting, and as the scale is 1:160, this project occasioned Sue's first venture through the door of a model railway shop.
