My Other Half

A short while ago I posted some pictures of my wife's build of Sagrada Familia on this thread started by Seascape:

Although she's not an active modeller anymore she was quite chuffed at the response the model got. So I've started this thread in order to show some of her other builds. First up is De Palmboom windmill from Leon Schuijt. She sweated blood over this one, especially the supports holding the upper platform - THE DC could tell you the proper name for these - made from trimmed, carved and dyed matchsticks. As soon as one was put in place, another popped out!

This is Casa Golferichs, a protected villa in Barcelona now used as a cultural centre. Designed by Joan Rubio i Bellver, it won first prize for the best building to be finished in that city in 1901. Gaudi didn't have it all his own way!

We were both very interested in things Barcelonic - is that a proper word? - at the time so she had a go at Maisa de la Torre Rodona, a farmhouse near the city. The tower, of which only the base remains, was built as a defensive structure in the 10th century when Christians and Muslims were battling it out.
