Tiny Taj Mahal

This is one of the Paper Nano models published by Kawada which a friend gave me for Christmas one year.

It was my first experience of a laser cut kit and I have to say that I was astonished at the level of intricacy this method can achieve. The model is pretty small - the ceramic pot is a smidge under 11cm high - and the only cutting I did was to snip through the tiny bits which hold the parts to the model sheets. I find the amount of detail impressive.

Incidentally, the same company also issues Nano Blocks which are a tiny Lego-type building brick.

I wouldn't say that hand cutting couldn't be done to that level (people always amaze me here), but I don't see how. Very nice model, sir

Very nice. Those nano models are very intricate and they do amaze with the cut out details.

Nicely done. I like the night sky and camel on this one. It really adds to the effect. I still have the Nano Himeji castle to do.
