The Blue Tram

The Tramvia Blau is a Barcelona tram route which runs between the old "La Rotonda" restaurant and the base of the Tibidabo amusement park funicular railway.

The model depicts a series 5-10 which was built in 1904. It's still in service today. You can see the beast in action here:

The kit was published in 1984 by La Ciutat de Paper and the scale is 1:43.5

Thank you, Derek. The very precise design was a big help.

I totally agree with Madbrit's comments! It this a book kit, or is it available in downloadable format? I would like to purchase a copy, but shipping from Europe would probably not be cost effective, for a single model.

Nicely done. I love the old trams and the fact that so many cities are preserving them or bringing them back as working transports.

That is a nice looking tram model. It should work well in a cityscape diorama.

We have modern trams here in Croydon where I live. They are popular with passengers for all sorts of reasons, and rather like horses at Newmarket, they take precedence over all other traffic.

missileer: This is a very old physical kit consisting of one large sheet of glossy paper, and the publishers ceased trading not long after it's publication in 1984, so I guess they are going to be hard to find. I did a bit of googling and came up with this, if it's any use to you:
